The "Tree of Thanks" idea came from Paula at Frog Prince Paperie, who also designed all of the printables.

The delicious spread included honey baked ham, rotisserie chicken, wheat rolls, and pasta salad. Katie, the chapter's founder, brought over homemade apple pie, mini cheese cakes, and cupcakes. It was so nice just to sit down and share a meal with everyone. We hope to make it a tradition every year.
Special thanks to Rebecca Watkins Photography for capturing the event, and Geoff at Brick Wall Printing and Graphics.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

ReplyDeleteI am bias being the founder of the Children's Alopecia Project, but you all are superstars! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteMy son was recently diagnosed with Alopecia Areata. He will be 4 in April. I stumbled across your blog when googling for transformer bday parties. We are totally 'new' to hair loss and are currently trying to treat it. I'd love to chat about alopecia if you have any advice or words of wisdom.

The androgen which is testosterone is what is mainly affected that causes hair loss. When testosterone comes in contact with the enzyme it 5-alphareductase, it is then converted into DHT (dihydrotestosterone). When DHT comes in contact with your delicate hair follicles, it causes them to shrink and shed excessively. That is why you have thinning and balding areas.
